#Goodbyeto2011 is a short video project, produced by the Race Equality Foundation in collaboration with speakers from a number of public and third sector organisations.  Here Stafford Scott of the Tottenham Defence Campaign speaks about his thoughts on the limited progression of race equality in 2011 and his hopes for 2012.

Stafford outlines his fears that reactions to the events of 2011 may lay the seeds of trouble for the future.  He calls on the Government and others to learn the lessons of the 1980s and work to address inequality.  He also suggests that communities need to work to bring about change, including working with young people to ensure riots do not happen in the future.

The Goodbye to 2011 videos were published on the Race Equality Foundation's Youtube channel throughout the festive season in the run-up to New Year 2011-12.  Your thoughts and feedback on the videos, and your own hopes for 2012 are much appreciated.
