#Goodbyeto2011: Interview with Daniel Singleton
Author: Singleton, Daniel

Publication date: December 2011
#Goodbyeto2011 is a short video project produced by the Race Equality Foundation in collaboration with speakers from a number of voluntary, community and public sector organisations.
Here Daniel Singleton, the Chief Executive of FaithAction and a Department of Health Strategic Partner, reflects on race equality in 2011-12. He notes the importance of the NHS Equality Diversity Council and the work that it is leading in changing the health services. He worries about the impact of the economy, but suggest that organisations including faith organisations have started to respond in innovative and effective ways. Daniel suggests that in 2012 these organisations and others have to build on these changes and recognise that they may be better placed to deliver change to communities.
The Goodbye to 2011 videos were published on the Foundation's Youtube channel throughout the festive season in the run up to New Year 2011-12. Your thoughts and feedback on the videos, and your own hopes for 2012, are much appreciated.
